Ghost Stories, by Coldplay

I’ve been a huge Coldplay fan for years, back to Parachutes days. Unfortunately, this is the first album they’ve released that I’ve just hated - it’s boring and really lackluster, and can be summed up with the three words “She left me.” While Snow Patrol’s songwriter used a relationship breakup to fuel some of their best music, Ghost Stories makes me wish Chris Martin stayed in bed for another few weeks before trying to write songs again.

"Shannon Gold" butter is anything but "Irish style"

A few days ago I saw a new brand of butter at a local store - "Shannon Gold", and the label said it was "Irish style". This is presumably to compete against Kerrygold butter, one of the richest, most flavorful butters you can buy in the USA; Kerrygold butter is made from cream that was imported from Ireland, its renounced richness presumably a result of the extremely nutritious grass that Irish cows graze on.
