Google stands up to BellSouth's Orwellian plans

Some excellent news from the wire, if you excuse the pun. Google has told BellSouth it will not pay the extortion fees that the Baby Bell is looking to push on high-traffic websites, stating, quite obviously, that the consumer already pays for the bandwidth as part of the monthly subscriptions. How to disable "hibernation" in Windows XP and save disk space

Today at work I was doing moving some files around when I realized that my C: drive, which has Windows XP on it, was running seriously low on disk space. A quick perusal of the drive uncovered a 1.5 gigabyte file called hiberfil.sys. Given that I never use the hibernation system in Windows I figured this was a prime target for purging, but the system wouldn't let me delete the file as it was locked by the system that controls hibernation. So, off a googling I went and found my answer on the very first result. Read on for a quick explanation.

Exchange Server login name

For ages I had problem with the login name with the email system they have at work, Microsoft Exchange Server 2000. While it would work fine via the MAPI or web interfaces, I couldn't get it to work via POP3 or IMAP4. Searching online brought up the notion of using a special sequence as the login name, domain\username\mailbox, so it'd be something like geeksrv\Damien McKenna\dmckenna.
